First, gather several cardboard cartons and stack them on top of each other. These cartons serve as the structural base of the pouffe because, when pressed together tightly, they provide strength and volume without the need for wood or plastic.
Next, with all the cartons stacked, roll them up into a cylindrical shape. By compressing them and securing the structure, you obtain a firm and stable body that will support the weight of a person. This step is key to ensuring the pouffe is sturdy.
Once the circular base has been formed, a soft padding, such as a piece of foam rubber or wadding, is placed on top. This ensures comfort when sitting and prevents direct contact with the hard surface of the cardboard. Next, the entire assembly is covered with a large piece of fabric that extends to the floor.
