Inversion has unveiled a system capable of delivering important cargo to any point on the planet in less than an hour using an orbital vehicle
Inversion, a company specialising in aerospace technology and defence development, has unveiled its new spacecraft called Arc, which is designed to modernise global logistics. This spacecraft is capable of delivering up to 225 kilograms of cargo to virtually anywhere on Earth in less than an hour, significantly speeding up the delivery of resources for military and emergency needs.
Arc is a manned spacecraft that, after being launched into low Earth orbit, can remain there for up to five years in standby mode. If necessary, the spacecraft autonomously leaves orbit, undergoes hypersonic entry into the atmosphere, manoeuvres and lands softly with the help of parachutes, delivering cargo precisely to its destination. The spacecraft’s high manoeuvrability in different phases of flight allows for a significant expansion of the delivery area.
The system’s prospects are scalable through the formation of constellations of Arc spacecraft, which will be able to cover various regions of the planet and ensure reliable and prompt delivery of cargo even to remote or infrastructure-limited areas.
The company sees potential in creating a network of thousands of such aircraft, which will significantly increase the ability to respond quickly and contain threats.
The aircraft will also be used for hypersonic testing, scientific experiments and commercial missions, including the delivery and return of cargo to orbital stations.
