On 5 October 2011, the world lost one of its most brilliant and visionary minds: Steve Jobs, co-founder of Apple, died after a long battle with pancreatic cancer, which he had been suffering from since 2003. Despite his illness, he remained CEO until his final days and became one of the most acclaimed and remembered entrepreneurs in the technology sector, especially for his entrepreneurial mindset and natural leadership skills.
Jobs was the public face of Apple, the company he created alongside Steve Wozniak and Ronald Wayne (the latter sold his shares to Jobs and Wozniak shortly afterwards).
Much has happened since then, and perhaps today, the father of the iPhone would not recognise his own phone. Jobs died at the age of 56, but more than a decade after his death, his legacy continues to influence technology and design.
