Google has announced that the Gemini 2.5 Flash Image model (also known as Nano Banana) has moved to General Availability status, meaning it is now the final version.
In addition to minor bug fixes and performance improvements, several new features have been added to the model. First, it supports 10 output formats:
- Landscape: 21:9, 16:9, 4:3, 3:2
- Square: 1:1
- Portrait: 9:16, 3:4, 2:3
- Flexible: 5:4, 4:5
Second, the model can now be configured to return only images, without accompanying text. This will allow API users to reduce token consumption.
The new version of Google Nano Banana is available in Gemini App, Google AI Studio, and Vertex AI for enterprise users. The API price is $0.039 per image.
